BioBagsTM – Kitchen Compost Bucket Liners – set of 3

This is my first time composting and it has been working to produce rich soil for more healthy plants! People compost for many reasons, mostly to reduce their waste, but kitchen gardeners create compost to add to soil, create compost tea, and provide organic nutrients to their plants. This bin was created on clay soil that had no vegetation and it was made for free with a few pallets from a neighbor. Even though some people say that using wood may create a termite problem, I have not seen this issue with the bin. If there is a problem, I could just take down the bin, use the rich soil, and create a new bin. Some suggestions for composting: Keep it moist and water the bin every few days. Use both kitchen scraps and yard waste. Do not use animal products like meat, milk, and bones. Create a bin (or a few bins) that is large enough to hold all of your organic waste. Construct the compost bin near your kitchen and water source so it is easy to move the material into the bin. Consider constructing the bin in partial shade or with sun to help keep the bin warm. Don’t place your compost bin near a large tree because the roots may take the valuable nutrients. Add dry leaves to the top of the bin to reduce fruit flies and other unwanted pests. Mix the compost as much as you can or at least once a month. Wait for a few months and amend your soil with the rich organic matter to create more healthy plants. If you are considering starting a kitchen garden a compost bin is the perfect
